Team Lightning,

The surge in volunteer support the last couple days has been significant – thank you. We are getting close! As of tonight, pending positions are:

• Starter for the 3rd Session. One of few remaining trained positions open.

• Lane Checker for Lane #6 – According to the RSL, this person simply stands at the lane for the first session and help younger swimmers, making sure they are where they need to be.

• Ribbons for the 3rd session. Entails putting stickers on the ribbons as the events are completed.

• T-Shirt Sales - We have the third session slot. Involves taking payment – hush, hush - this may be particularly easy because in past years shirts have sold out by the third session.

• Safety Marshall/Door Marshall - Ensures that people are not going where they shouldn't. They usually have them posted around the pool. We still need someone for each session.

• Locker Room Marshall (Male) for the second session. Ensures that no one other than swimmers go into the locker rooms. All spectators have to use the bathrooms in the main lobby. There are also single bathrooms in an adjoining hallway.

• Set-Up – Admittedly difficult because it starts at 1:00pm. This role requires listening to the host team’s directions on where to place people, material, etc.

• Take-Down - Still need two more people to help ensure things are packed up at the close of the meet. Do not expect significant work or time.
