From the Chair...
Greetings everyone,
The Annual Ice Cream Social is Sunday, April 29th from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. This is the kick-off to registration and job sign-ups, not to mention a lot of fun. I look forward to seeing everyone.
The Board has approved a $5.00 per family increase in the concession fee this year. We felt this increase impacted every family equally, while still helping the team to meet the costs of running a quality program. This fee is paid at the time of registration, so if you are mailing in your registration be sure to include this fee.
We will be getting new suits this year, the current style is no longer available. The vendor will be at the Mock Meet on June 16th to try on and purchase your suits.
We are in need of a few good people to train for key positions - Clerk of Course, Referee, Stroke and Turn, and Starter. We always lack enough people trained in these positions. Training is offered through the RSL. As soon as they finalize the training schedule it will be posted, and emailed. If you were trained for high school or year round - you are trained for us!
I am very excited to start the season, but part of me is sad too. This will be my final year as Chair and being on the team. This is my third season on the Board and, also, my daughter's last year of eligibility to swim. I say this now so there aren't any surprises on August 5th when we are electing new officers to the Board. Start thinking of stepping up, ask questions, get details, etc. I have a thumb drive with all the forms and history ready to turnover.
